Happiness Country Kennels is located on 8.7 acres of rural land in the scenic, rolling hills of Sunol, California, just south of the Sunol Valley Golf Course and just north of Interstate Highway 680.

The kennel is only 30 miles southeast of San Francisco.  We are centrally located to serve pets and their owners from Alameda County, Contra Costa County and Santa Clara County including Sunol, Pleasanton, Livermore, Dublin, San Ramon, Danville, Fremont, Newark, Union City, Hayward, Castro Valley, Milpitas, San Jose, San Leandro, San Lorenzo, and Oakland.

From Pleasanton drive south on Highway 680 to Andrade Road exit, turn right and then immediate left onto Mission Road. The kennel is one mile on the left.

From Fremont drive north on Highway 680 to Sheridan Road. Exit, turn left to cross the freeway and then turn right on Mission Road. The kennel is one mile down the hill on the right.

FAMILY OWNERSHIP

Happiness Country Kennels was built by Peter Ward and his family in spring 1981 and is still owned and operated by the family.
